Sometimes, I wonder what life will be if there’s no trial or testing?
As much as we dislike the idea of getting our “feathers” ruffled, or our sweet, peaceful moments disrupted by an annoying or uncomfortable event, we wouldn’t learn to depend solely on God for strength, wisdom and His power.
But all of us go through seasons of tests.
For some, their season of tests may come in the form of the Finals examination, which they seem to dread because they have difficulty recognizing the polynomial from an ordinary alphabet.
Others go through a season of financial turbulence—going down in debt or at worse, losing a huge sum of money aft investing it on a scam. Ouch!
Still others go through seasons of emotional trauma after losing a loved one, broke up with some dear to his/her heart, family problems. Etc.
Yet, in all these various seasons we may go through, we can find strength and encouragement in Romans 8:28 that says, “And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Nothing is accidental to every test we go through. It may be painful at times, but think of the lessons we can learn from it, as well as the wisdom we’ll acquire as we look at these tests through God’s lens.
He who began a good work in you, will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus…(Philippians 1:6).
