Just came back from Mapua’s Freshmen Treat.

Anna Calvario, our campus missionary there, did a fantastic job casting the vision to our students there at Mapua, which is why around 500 freshmen students attended the Treat at the campus’ gym.

When I joined  ENCM (Every Nation Campus Ministries) in 2003, we (Pastor Bong Navarro, Noemi Liwanag, Alona Romero and  Pastor Ryan Gidor) were all dreaming of a day when students from the various campus at the University Belt will have their own treat for freshmen and an opportunity to connect with them and eventually bring them to Christ.

What I saw this afternoon at Mapua is already a reality to the dream we had six years ago.

Anna, the Best Preacher in the School of Campus Ministry last year, drew the best out of our small group leaders at Mapua as each one did their part in running the entire one-hour event.

My hope is that in the coming years, campuses like FEU, UST, UE, San Beda, San Sebastian, Arellano University, TIP, PNU (Phil. Normal University), Adamson U., National University, the high school campuses at U-Belt will hold their own respective campus events that will gather students and connect them to God.

It’s exciting to see that day come!
